Just spent the Easter weekend at Hotel Valley Ho. This classic mid-century modern hotel was designed by Californian architect Edward L Varney and was one of the first resort hotels in Scottsdale when it opened in 1956. The property underwent a huge refurbishment project in 2005 and although the finish is just a bit too clean for my tastes you can't help but be impressed with the end result.
