| Designed in 1953, Finn Juhl's Model 137 (or Japan Model) was inspired by the Miyajima water gate off the coast of Hiroshima. The series is characterised by low floating seats suspended over a solid teak frame with raised brass mounts - a two seater sofa from the range will shortly be added to the site. Other new arrivals coming to antikmodern this month include a pair of Danish lounge chairs, wall mounted drawers from Borge Mogensen and some beautifully crafted Italian mid-century display pieces from Anri Form. | Without doubt one of the best shops I visited while I was in LA; General Store is situated off Venice Beach on Lincoln Boulevard and is the sort of shop you really want to walk around three or four times to make sure you haven't missed anything.
