Written in 1972, The Paint House is a collaboration between the three co-authors and an East London gang, 'the Collinwood', one of the first skinhead gangs in England. The book is a collection of conversations with the group about their beliefs and perceptions, and gives an insight into how their pride at being cockney youth formed the cornerstone of the 'new craze of skinheadism'.
